My neck and back are sore.  It’s been a quiet week at the apartment with Andrea at Burning Man.  It’s been quite nice, in fact, to be able to have some time to be able to stretch and relax at home with the place to myself; nice to have some time to breathe.
I’m really enjoying [...]

This morning, on the bus ride to the office, I was so engrossed in reading that I missed my bus stop.  This is the first time this has ever happened.  I used to fall asleep on the train in Philadelphia all the time and occasionally missed my stop.  But this is the first time I’ve [...]

Last Friday I finally bought some new books, 4 of them.  Yesterday I finished the first – “The Informers” by Bret Easton Ellis.  Each chapter is a new short story through the eyes of a new/different person.  In the end, all the characters are somehow related, but the stories are isolated to each character.  You [...]

I started reading “A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius” by Dave Eggers today.  I’m doing this, because I like to read and I finished “Amerika” by Kafka last week. [...]

I finally finished “The Twenty-seventh City” by Jonathan Franzen. Five hundred some pages. It was good though. The end really surprised me. The whole book built up to one event, and it all falls flat. Started this book this morning:

Bethany gave me a book on how to learn Japanese. I’m going to learn Japanese now, just so I don’t feel like Bill Murray in “Lost In Translation” at work anymore.

02Feb08

I finished “On The Road” by Jack Kerouac on the flight back to Los Angeles from Pennsylvania. We’ve only just started February and I’m 2 weeks and a full book behind my goal at the beginning of the year. I need to find some short books to catch up.
I really enjoyed “On The [...]

I used to read. Since the move to LA, not so much. I want to get back into this. I want to finish a new book every two weeks. So 26 books by the end of year. Keep me on track please. Yell at me if I fail to [...]
